


In 2024-5, Consuelo's family inaugurated the Consuelo Rivera Fuentes Prize for Poetry, in her memory. For 2024-25, the theme was Dreams/ Sueños, and entries could be submitted in English or Spanish. The judges were Isabel Ros Lopez, Mabel Encinas and Adam Feinstein.
The winners of the 2025 Poetry Competition were:
First Prize: Alexandra Isfahani-Hammond, "Tribe of Relics"
Second Prize: Ruth Roberts Owen, "Wish"
Joint Third Prize: Estelle Price, "My mother and the Adar Rhiannon"
Joint Third Prize: Denisse Vargas, "Se Trata"
