About the author :
I am a former Thai street dog named Dame Polo Freelove. I was rescued by Soi Dog Foundation, a charity very close to Consuelo and Lynda’s hearts since they volunteered there and adopted I-Nam, one of their many dogs. 
John and my Mam, Donna, co-wrote a book about Gill, the heroine who rescued me. Consuelo agreed to advise and publish ‘Just Gill’ which has been enormously successful worldwide. 
The success of the book was largely due to Consuelo’s persistence, advice and promotion and Soi Dog Foundation will be eternally grateful for her support. 
Much awareness of the plight of the street dogs & cats of Asia and the brutal dog meat trade has been raised as a consequence of Just Gill. Many lives will have been saved and sick animals treated because of money raised due to sales. 
Like Consuelo, Gill and I have also passed away in the knowledge that despite many challenges and with much determination, we have all achieved fabulous things in our lives and we are very loved and missed.

DAYDREAMS OF A DAME - REUNITED 

I’m a little rescue dog 
I reside beyond the bridge  
Where dreams come true for all who’ve passed  
In meadows of flowers and fields green grassed 
I spend my days sending love back home
Through special thoughts and feelings 
To tell my folks that I am safe, loved and warm and healing

I dream of days when at my best 
Before I laid my head to rest 
Days of laughter, snacks with cuddles
Strokes and chases, kisses on muzzles 
Biscuits, sausages, bones and treats,
Cheeses, bowls of tasty meats

Dreams of Granny hugging me
Mummy calling me in for tea 
Dashing back to those I love 
I’ll just pop back to steal a kiss 
Until you join me up above 

Don’t you worry about your Po 
I’ll wait for you forever 
I’ll be sat right at this bridge 
Until we’re back together
Dreams come true they really do 
Trust me and make wishes 
Then when you reach these rainbow gates 
I’ll steal a million kisses 

I’ll place my paw upon your face
Snout on lips
Long awaited embrace
I’ll nuzzle your hand
You’ll stoke my mane
Just us - eternally - family again
